FAQ
How do I take care for my Lulu's Petals pieces?
My pieces contain a variety of materials, some of which are vintage components, dating anywhere from the late1800s to the 1980s. Vintage pieces should always be handled with extra care due to their age. To keep them as clean as possible, avoid contact with lotion, perfumes, and hairspray.
The safest way to clean vintage pieces is with a clean dry cloth, but if necessary, you can use a soft toothbrush soaked in hot soapy water to gently brush. Be extremely cautious with rhinestones that are not secured with prongs, as the adhesive that holds them in place is old and brittle, and therefore more prone to falling out. In the event you lose a stone, I recommend using a small amount of E6000 glue to reset. Brass components can be cleaned and polished using “Brasso,” which can be found on Amazon and many other retailers.
If additional assistance is needed, please reach out.
Are all the pieces one of a kind?
Most are, but I will repeat a design if I have enough materials to do so. For example, if a vintage bracelet has 10 individual rhinestone links, I might make 5 identical pair of earrings from it.
Can you take my relative's jewelry and make a custom piece for me?
I am not taking custom requests at this time.
What if I need a size adjustment on a bracelet?
I can adjust lengths on most bracelets. Please leave your request in order notes, with wrist size and fit preferences.
